Opening Ceremony of the Arab-Kurdish Cultural Center

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of     Republic of  Iraq , Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the Head of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al-Hikma (House of Wisdom), Dr. Qahtan Ni'ma Al-Khafaji, participated in the opening ceremony of the Arab-Kurdish Cultural Center on Sunday evening, August 24, 2025 .The ceremony began with an official speech by His Excellency the President, in which he noted that the stability of a nation comes from the depth of its society's culture. He emphasized the deep cultural relationship between Arabs and Kurds that has existed for hundreds of years , and highlighted the contributions of Kurdish and Arab intellectuals and writers to the intellectual and literary renaissance of Iraq. Through the establishment of this center, his excellency called for  bringing back joint cultural activities to their golden age.
The opening ceremony also included official speeches from several officials, in addition to a variety of artistic and cultural activities , including  poetry and musical performances from the Arab-Kurdish heritage.
Through its participation in the diverse activities of various institutions, Bayt Al-Hikma seeks to strengthen the cultural ties among the Iraqi people. The Arab-Kurdish Cultural Center is an institution dedicated to deepening the understanding and respect of the Arab-Kurdish cultural heritage, promoting dialogue, and solidifying a cultural identity among communities.
The event was attended by a number of officials and cultural and literary figures from Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region.
