Awareness Lecture by the Civil Defense Directorate at Baytal-Hikma

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Baytal-Hikma organized an awareness lecture delivered by Captain Saad Basim from the Civil Defense Directorate – Sheikh Omar Sector.

The lecture aimed to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety among Baytal-Hikma’s staff, focusing on how to effectively respond to fire incidents. Captain Basim explained the proper use of various types of fire extinguishers, emphasizing the specific functions of each type to ensure effective intervention in the early stages of fires. This approach helps limit the spread of fires and reduces material and human losses. The lecture also included practical demonstrations showcasing effective safety practices within buildings and homes.

The event was held during a visit by a delegation from the Civil Defense Directorate to Baytal-Hikma to assess the institution’s safety needs. The visit comes in response to the directives of Dr. Qahtan Ne’ma Al-Khafaji, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Baytal-Hikma, regarding the implementation of preventive measures and the training of staff members. Dr. Al-Khafaji commended the vital role played by the Civil Defense Directorate in ensuring the safety and protection of citizens and institutions.
