Bayt Al-Hikma Participation in The Arabic Language and Literature Award Ceremony
The Secretary-General of the Bayt Al-Hikma, Prof. Dr. Haider Qasim Mattar Al-Tamimi, participated on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in The Arabic Language Award ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research , as a representitive of the Head of the Board of Trustees of the Bayt Al-Hikma.
This award is part of the system of scientific and academic awards adopted by the Ministry and is directly sponsored by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi.
The Minister explained that these awards establish an integrated path that solidifies the Ministry's mission of building a stimulating academic environment for creativity and one that is connected to all fields of knowledge. He clarified that the goal is to instill a sustainable awareness among academics, making them more capable of contributing effectively to the scientific and cultural movement and serving as a source of competitive talent in regional and international forums.
The ceremony included speeches by the head of the organizing committee, Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Al-Jumaili, the head of the Iraqi Scientific Academy Dr. Muhammad Hussein Al Yassin, and the cultural advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Arif Al-Saadi. The event concluded with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honoring the winners of the Arabic Language and Literature Award. The first winner received five million dinars, the second winner received three million dinars, and the third winner received two million dinars, in addition to honoring a number of officials from scientific institutions.
