Bayt Al-Hikma ( House of Wisdom ) Celebrates Iraqi National Day
In an atmosphere overflowing with feelings of pride and belonging, Bayt Al-Hikma organized a distinctive national celebration on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, to mark Iraqi National Day. The event was attended by a large gathering of the institution's employees.
The event commenced with a speech delivered by Dr. Qahtan Ni'ma Hassan Al-Khafaji, Head of the Board of Trustees. He emphasized the importance of this day in consolidating the values of national unity and pride in identity, noting that Bayt Al-Hikma always strives to be a platform for disseminating cultural and intellectual awareness that enhances sense of belonging to the homeland.
The celebration was managed by Mr. Mudhaffar Al-Rubaie, Director of Public Relations and Media, who pointed out in his speech that this event came as part of the directives from the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers obligating state institutions to display signs of celebration on this national occasion, including raising Iraqi flags, broadcasting national anthems, showing signs of joy and happiness, and exchanging congratulations. He recalled Iraqi history and civilization and the sciences and innovations they offered to humanity, which contributed to accelerating the pace of scientific development worldwide, noting the city of Baghdad as the cradle of science and scholars and its civilizational role in spreading knowledge and sciences to all parts of the world.
The celebration concluded by remembering the martyrs of Iraq who sacrificed for the homeland, with a ( tilaway (recitation) of Surah Al-Fatiha for their pure souls, followed by the performance of the Iraqi National Anthem.
