Awareness Lecture by Civil Defense Directorate at Bayt Al-Hikma

Under the patronage and presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al-Hikma, Dr. Qahtan Neama Hassan Al-Khafaji, the Security Permits Division at Bayt Al-Hikma organized on Monday, September 22, 2025, an awareness lecture for the institution’s staff on “Methods of Fire Prevention,” in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate – Rusafa Sector.

The lecture was delivered by Brig. Gen. Mohammed Jassim Lafta, Director of Training at the Civil Defense Directorate – Rusafa Sector, and Col. Hasanein Ibrahim Saqr, Training Instructor at the Directorate. They explained the correct use of fire extinguishers, their various types, and the specific purposes of each category in dealing with fires at an early stage, which helps reduce both material and human losses. Practical demonstrations were also presented on how to act during fire incidents inside buildings and homes.

This lecture aimed to enhance awareness and provide education on fire safety, as well as to train Bayt Al-Hikma’s staff on effective response methods using the available resources.
