Bayt al-Hikma Organizes an Educational Lecture and Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Campaign
Under the supervision of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bayt al-Hikma, Dr. Qahtan Ne’ma Hassan Al-Khafaji, the Public Relations and Media Division at Bayt al-Hikma, in cooperation with the Community Police Directorate – Al-Rusafa Section, organized an educational lecture on “Osteoporosis and Vitamin D Deficiency” on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Dr. Mahmoud Ali Al-Daoud Hall. The event was held as part of the Regional Forum activities for the Bab Al-Sheikh District.
The session was chaired by Mr. Mudhaffar Al-Rubaie, Director of Public Relations and Media. Dr. Abeer Abdul Latif, Director of the Health Center in Al-Siba’ area, delivered a lecture in which she reviewed the main causes of osteoporosis, methods of prevention, and its impact on body functions. She also warned of the seriousness of the disease and its increasing prevalence across all age groups, emphasizing the need for joint medical and community efforts to address this issue.
Mr. Kazem Jawad, Head of Research at the Community Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, also gave an educational lecture focusing on the new academic year and the issue of school dropouts, stressing the importance of monitoring children’s educational progress.
During the symposium, a vaccination campaign was carried out for a group of Bayt al-Hikma employees, where a specialized medical team from the Al-Siba’ Health Center administered the seasonal influenza vaccine.
