Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Engineer Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, and upon a gracious invitation from the National Security Advisory, represented by Mr. Qasim Al-Araji, the Head of the Board of Trustees of Bayt al-Hikma, Professor Dr. Qahtan Nima Hassan Al-Khafaji, participated on Saturday, 7 February 2026, in the opening ceremony of the Fifth International Conference on Geospatial Technologies and Smart Cities.
The conference is organized by the National Security Advisory – National Center for Spatial Data Management, under the theme “Towards a Secure and Sustainable Future”, with wide local and international participation.
Held over three consecutive days, the conference aims to keep pace with global developments in geospatial studies in service of society, explore international expertise, and support state orientations toward establishing smart and sustainable cities.
