The impact of globalization on building student personality


Bayt Al-Hikma Participates in Panel Discussion on the Impact of Globalization on Student Identity
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al-Hikma, Dr. Qahtan Neama Hassan Al-Khafaji, participated in a specialized panel discussion organized by Al-Imam Al-Azam University College in cooperation with the National Permanent Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance, affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Security Media Cell. The event was attended by prominent academic and security figures and was held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
The panel addressed contemporary challenges facing national identity amid rapid global transformations, highlighting the pivotal role of educational institutions in strengthening students’ intellectual resilience in coordination with security and cultural institutions. Discussions also focused on key issues related to cultural identity, global openness, and their impact on university students. Participants emphasized the importance of community awareness in preserving national identity and achieving a careful balance between benefiting from global civilizational progress and safeguarding authentic cultural values.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Khafaji underscored the leading role of educational and cultural institutions in enriching the intellectual landscape. He stressed the importance of fostering intellectual awareness among university youth in light of accelerating global changes, reaffirming the role of civilizational and historical institutions in promoting a conscious openness grounded in national and religious principles.
The event concluded with an interactive dialogue session featuring academics and students, who exchanged views and reflections, contributing to a dynamic and enriching discussion
