Bayt Al Hikma and Tourism Authority Strengthen Prospects for Scientific and Cultural Cooperation
The President of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al Hikma, Dr. Naim Abdul Yasser Al-Aboudi, received the Chairman of the Tourism Authority, Eng. Nasser Ghanem Murad, accompanied by the Authority’s Director of Public Relations and Media, Mr. Ali Yassin, at his office on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. The visit was made to extend congratulations on the occasion of Dr. Al-Aboudi’s assumption of the presidency of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al Hikma and to enhance prospects for scientific and knowledge-based cooperation between Bayt Al Hikma and the Tourism Authority.
Dr. Al-Aboudi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the visit, highlighting the significant role played by the Tourism Authority and emphasizing that tourism in Iraq represents a cultural and civilizational gateway as well as a major economic resource comparable to other national resources. He stressed the importance of benefiting from the research and studies produced by research centers, foremost among them of Bayt Al Hikma in developing and advancing the tourism sector.
During the visit, the Chairman of the Tourism Authority presented a collection of gifts and publications issued under the “Baghdad: Capital of Iraqi Tourism 2025” project, including its national strategy aimed at promoting and developing this vital sector.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Public Relations and Media at Bayt Al Hikma, Mr. Muzaffar Al-Rubaie, who accompanied the delegation on an introductory tour of the historic House of Wisdom building
