As part of Bayt al-Hikma’s support for government efforts aimed at consolidating a culture of institutional quality, applying modern management practices, and delivering optimal services to citizens, Ms. Sumaya Ma‘an Abd al-Hussein, Head of the Department of Total Quality Management and Institutional Development at Bayt al-Hikma, participated in the Twelfth Meeting of the National Quality Team. The meeting was held under the supervision of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to follow up on the work of Total Quality Management departments in governmental institutions and agencies.
The meeting discussed the National Quality Team’s strategic plan for the years (2025–2029), along with a proposal for criteria to select the best Total Quality Management department within government entities. It also included presentations of success stories achieved by the Ministries of Transport and Youth and Sports, as well as the Central Bank of Iraq, in the fields of quality and the implementation of international standards. These presentations aimed to enhance the exchange of expertise and disseminate best practices among relevant departments.
The meeting also featured the honoring of a number of Total Quality Management departments and distinguished staff members by the Quality Team at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. Among those honored was the former Head of the Quality Management Department at Bayt al-Hikma, Ms. Halima Ali Hussein, in recognition of her outstanding efforts in managing the department during her tenure.
These meetings are held with the aim of continuing support for all quality departments within government institutions, enabling them to perform their duties effectively and to build an efficient system in accordance with the highest approved international standards. |
