The Department of Religious Education and Islamic Studies Visits Bayt al-Hikma
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, Dr. Qahtan Ne’ma Hassan Al-Khafaji, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bayt al-Hikma, received in his office Mr. Hussein Hummas, Director General of the Department of Religious Education and Islamic Studies at the Shiite Endowment Office, accompanied by Ms. Nidhal Saeed Hussein, Head of Public Relations at the Department.
The two sides discussed the prospects of strengthening scientific, intellectual, and cultural cooperation between the two institutions, and explored ways to provide a supportive academic environment for researchers from both parties through conducting joint studies and research on topics of mutual interest, particularly those addressing social phenomena that emerge on Iraqi scene.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to prepare a draft memorandum of understanding outlining the framework and methodology for joint collaboration as a step toward implementation. The visiting delegation was also presented with a selection of recent publications issued by the scientific departments of Bayt al-Hikma.
