*Bayt Al-Hikma Enhances Cooperation with the Iraqi General Authority of Customs*
The Head of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al-Hikma, Dr. Qahtan Ni'ma Hassan Al-Khafaji, met today, Thursday, November 27, 2025,  Mr. Ahmed Abbas Kadhim from the office of the Director of the Iraqi General Authority of Customs, in the presence of an elite group of professors from the advisory  team of the Department of Historical Studies at Bayt Al-Hikma. The meeting was held to discuss the implementation of a joint project previously prepared between the two institutions: the compilation of the "Encyclopedia of Iraqi Customs."
During the meeting, views and ideas were exchanged with the aim of maturing a joint cooperation project between Bayt Al-Hikma and the General Authority of Customs. This project aims to enrich Iraqi research sources with studies documenting the historical trajectory of established government institutions, and to shed light on, preserve, and document the Iraqi customs heritage through the preparation of the Encyclopedia of Iraqi Customs, as it is considered part of the institutional memory of the Iraqi State, a civilizational legacy within the inheritance of the Iraqi State, and a tributary to the Iraqi economy.
A discussion was held to outline the work methodology and set the main lines for implementation. The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations for the purpose of commencing the implementation process.
It is worth noting that Bayt Al-Hikma's keenness to document cooperation with institutions and research centers concerned with highlighting the civilizational aspect of Iraq, and utilizing scientific and research capabilities to spread historical culture and enhance the national identity for all segments of Iraqi society.

The meeting was attended by Asst. Prof.Dr. Muhannad Abdul Hassan, Vice President of the Board of Trustees, and the Secretary-General, Prof.Dr. Haider Qassim Al-Tamimi.
